Students in NC’s Child and Youth program made local news for leading an anti-bullying initiative during their school placement as part of their studies.

NC students spoke to youth in grades two to four at Mary Ward Catholic Elementary School in Niagara Falls about bullying. The talk turned out to be a highly emotionally-charged topic for the young students, many of whom have been personally affected by bullying.

The talk aligned with anti-bullying initiatives, deescalation techniques, and school reporting practices by the province of Ontario who recently launched an online survey to students, parents, guardians and school staff to share their experiences with bullying.
