The Niagara College Teaching Greenhouse’s newest feline Scout made local news, appearing in the Niagara Dailies after formally receiving his name, thanks to a college-wide contest.
Horticulture technician Teri Sherwood, and manager Matt Orr, provide commentary for the story. The stray orange tabby – who bears a striking resemblance to his beloved predecessor Basil – was located at the Welland Campus and brought to the Greenhouse where he serves as a therapy cat for students and, where necessary, manager of pest control.
