News that Niagara College students will soon have a new vineyard to farm was shared by Education News Canada on February 11. The news site shared NC’s joint release with Canopy Growth, announcing that the Concession 5 Vineyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake, located next to its Tweed Farms greenhouses will be leased to College and operated by the NC Learning Enterprise Corporation (NCLEC).
NC is is committed to maintaining the vineyard according to environmentally and socially sustainable practices, providing a new learning environment for students in the Winery and Viticulture Technician program, and ensuring positive relations with neighboring farm owners and residents.
