This story in The Welland Tribune features graphic designer Aldo Parrotta who brought the idea of the Bell Box Mural Project – started in Toronto – to the city of Welland. Parotta is a Niagara College alumnus (Fine Arts, 1991). Parotta approached Welland city council, requesting funding to paint the Bell boxes in the city – a request that has since been approved in the 2020 budget.
Parotta has spearheaded a campaign among local artists in hopes of beautifying the rose city.
