Niagara College garnered the attention of local news outlet Niagara Now, with the announcement that Sean Kennedy will become the new president of the College.

Writer Dariya Baiguzhiyeva quotes John Scott, chair of the college’s board of governors, in his speech at the January 10 announcement. Scott says of Kennedy, “He personifies our Niagara College DNA. He’s welcoming, he’s very passionate, he’s a trailblazer. He’s fully dedicated to make sure this college continues to be and expands its focus on student centricity.”

No stranger to the College, Kennedy has held various leadership roles at NC since 2006, including his most recent position as senior vice-president, International.

Remarks from Kennedy’s first address are included: “This is the place that I love so dearly with the group of people I’m just so honoured to work with and have been honoured to work with, that I care so deeply about. And I’m so looking forward to continuing the success of Niagara College as your president.”
