NC flags at half-mast for National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women Dec. 6

Flags at both campuses are lowered to half-mast on Friday, Dec. 6 to recognize Canada’s National Day of Remembrance and Violence Against Women. Dec. 6, 2019 marks 30 years since the tragic mass shooting at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal that saw 14 young women murdered. The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women is about honouring those who have experienced gender-based violence, and is part of Women and Gender Equality Canada’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
