I would like to take a few moments to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone – staff, faculty and students – who contributed on Saturday to another very successful Fall Open House event.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for all of us at Niagara College to share with thousands of prospective students and their families what makes us so unique. Our Board of Governor members were on campus and had the opportunity to engage with faculty and staff. They were able to see first-hand the interaction with prospective students and wanted me to convey how impressed they are with the commitment from our faculty and staff towards our domestic recruitment efforts.
Our Fall Open House is the flagship of our recruitment cycle, giving future students a look inside our unique learning environments, and a taste of our high quality programs and hands-on approach to teaching. Saturday offered a chance for prospective students to meet our expert faculty, dedicated staff, and talented students, a very important part of their postsecondary decision-making process. Given the competitive nature of postsecondary in the province, it is incredibly important for us to bring students on campus to experience the people and programs that make Niagara College special.
From planning, promoting and executing the day, to being present to speak with future students and their families, thank you to everyone who participated for a job very well done. We all play a part in being ambassadors for Niagara College and I’m proud to see so much support mobilized for our recruitment initiatives.
