A message from Pam Skinner, senior vice-president, Corporate Services:
Throughout 2019, the College has been working to create its next Campus Master Plan, a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the growth and development of the College’s campus spaces for the next ten to 20 years. Over the past several months, we’ve been working with our partners in this project, architects Tillmann Ruth and Robinson (aTRR), to create a framework that will form the basis of this important document.
A successful Campus Master Plan takes into account the feedback and experiences of the entire college community. Staff, faculty, students and community members are invited to attend one of two open-houses to learn more about the Campus Master Plan, speak with representatives from the College and aTRR, and provide their feedback on the planning process. This builds on extensive consultation and engagement aTRR has already conducted with key stakeholders, shared in the September 17 update.
No registration is required. Open houses will be held at both campuses:
Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus
Nov. 28, 11 a.m – 1 p.m., 3 – 6 p.m.
Room N002 (NCSAC Student Activity Room)
Welland Campus
Nov. 29, 11 a.m – 1 p.m., 3 – 6 p.m.
Room S174 (NCSAC Student Activity Room)
The open house will focus on the Vision and Design Principles that aTRR have created in collaboration with the college. These principles are meant to capture the key elements our campuses should incorporate in order to reflect our shared identity as a college community. You can learn more about the Vision and Design Principles here.
Members of the college community who are unable to attend an open house will be invited to provide their input through an online survey which will be launched following the open house events.
We look forward to hearing your input through this important process. More information on Niagara College’s Campus Master Planning process can be found online. If you have any questions about the master planning process, please reach out to myself, or to Vince Malvaso, interim director of Facilities Management Services.
