During the month of October, the Academic and Liberal Studies Department, in collaboration with Moon Time Sisters (Ontario Chapter), is collecting donations of feminine hygiene products to distribute to nine different First Nations communities in northern Ontario, parts of Quebec, and the Northwest Territories.

Sought-after items for donation include pads, tampons, menstrual cups, menstrual underwear, and cloth pads (although Moon Time Sisters has mentioned that pads are often preferred).

Donations may be dropped off at the Welland Campus in L124 (Centre for Academic Excellence) and S104 (Indigenous Education); and at the NOTL Campus in W307 (Academic and Liberal Studies) and E104 (Indigenous Education).

Donations will be accepted until October 31.

For more information on the donation drive, please contact  Sociology professor Crystal Adams Coons, Professor, Sociology  at [email protected]  or ext. 4216 .
