The St. Welland Tribune reported that two NC Knights soccer athletes – rookie Terin Hultink and sophmore Patrick Ionidis – have earned top honours in college sport.
Hultink of West Lincoln scored her first goal of the season, assisting the women’s team to a 4-0 win over the Lambton Lions. Head coach Rob Lalama commends Hultink, “Terin’s skill level is off the charts. She’s a great all-around player and an even better teammate.”
Ionidis earned male athlete-of-the-week after impressive defensive play in their 5-1 win over Lambton, and after returning from an injury. Head coach Frank DeChellis said, “Patrick has really established himself as a leader with this group and a force within our league. Patrick plays with a quiet ferocity and brings a very high soccer IQ to his game.”
