The Centre for Student Engagement & Leadership is very excited to host another Get Involved Week at Niagara College from October 7 to 11.
The Get Involved Fair is an opportunity for college departments and community organizations to showcase the many ways in which students can get involved on-and-off campus. Over 20 off-campus vendors and 8 on-campus vendors will be showcased throughout the week at both campuses.
In addition to providing students with crucial networking opportunities, the Get Involved Fair showcases the importance of giving back and getting involved with your campus and local communities.
Monday, October 7: Get Involved Fair: On-Campus Vendors 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Cafeteria Foyer, NOTL
Tuesday, October 8: Get Involved Fair: Off-Campus Vendors 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Cafeteria Foyer, NOTL
Wednesday, October 9: Get Involved Fair: Off-Campus Vendors 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Learning Commons, Welland
Thursday, October 10: Get Involved Fair: On-Campus Vendors 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Learning Commons, Welland
Students will also have the opportunity to learn how they can give back during reading week, by participating in the alternative reading week programming. Other opportunities will be offered throughout the week on the Get Involved Portal.
What is the difference between the ON-Campus and OFF-Campus Vendors?
On-Campus Vendors are for students to come and speak with various departments, services and co-curricular programs on campus, such as Peer Mentoring, LEAD, Sustainability, Be World Ready, Indigenous Education, and various Library Services.
Off-Campus Vendors give students the opportunity to meet and speak with numerous community partners from the Niagara Region about volunteering with their organization, and help students gain hands-on experience related to their field of study.
