Kris Dubé with The Welland Tribune covered students moving in to Niagara College’s residence, marking the start of the 2019 Fall Term. Students at both the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses were greeted by friendly faces from NC’s Student Administrative Council (NC SAC) who were all hands on deck to help students and their families unload their vehicles and move belongings into residence rooms.
NC SAC president Tom Price explains that residence life creates a family-like atmosphere for students.
For new students Faith Sharpe and Brad Zettel, moving in to residence means living away from home for the first time.
Sharpe has enrolled in the Practical Nursing program, and Zettel in the Protection Security & Investigation (Private Security) program. Sharpe says she’s looking forward to her program and the social aspect of college; meeting new people and making lasting memories. Zettel explains the feeling of being both excited and nervous for the start of his college experience.
Classes and orientation events begin Tuesday, September 3 for new students beginning the Fall 2019 Term.
