Canada Summer Games organizers are now recruiting for key volunteer roles for the 2021 Games. Sports leads and venue leads are needed for each sport and venue.
For example, the sport lead for soccer is responsible for planning the soccer competition during the test event and at Games time; The venues team lead for Welland International Flatwater Centre is responsible for leading the team that plans and operates that venue during any test event and at Games time.
There are many individuals in the Niagara College community who have specific skills or experience that would support key areas of the games.
The commitment requires approximately 4-8 hours per month over the next two years, full-time availability throughout the Games in August 2021.
The deadline to apply has been extended to August 8, 2019. Visit the volunteer page for details: niagara2021.ca/get-involved/volunteering
More volunteer positions will be posted as the Games approach. You can sign up to the CSG communication list for updates related to volunteering for the Games.
“With a need for thousands of volunteers to effectively run the Games, everyone in Niagara will have a chance to be part of the action,” said Barry Wright, Chief Executive Officer for the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games.
