On July 24, Newstalk 610 CKTB‘s Shelby Knox reported on the environmental collaboration between NC, the Niagara Coastal Community Collaborative, and the organization Swim Drink Fish to collect water samples from Lake Erie in popular areas for swimming and boating.
The project is funded through Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Great Lakes Protection Initiative to improve data collection for underserved communities.
This testing is in addition to regular water quality testing done by Niagara Public Health.
