Exchange Magazine shared news of the $14-million investment by FedDev Ontario for expansion of the Southern Ontario Network for Advanced Manufacturing Innovation (SONAMI), of which Niagara College is the leader. The new funding will allow SONAMI to expand beyond Niagara with the addition of three new post-secondary institutions. The expanded network will serve another 240 businesses on commercializing new products by providing technical expertise and knowledge. The project will aid job creation of 552 permanent jobs and provide skills training for up to 360 students and researchers.
