Sad News: Student death

Niagara College is mourning the loss of Alexander Kay Acosta. Acosta, a 28 year-old international student from the Philippines, was studying in the Electrical Engineering Technician program, and was intending on completing his studies in the Fall 2019 term. He passed away on July 9.

College flags have been lowered to honour Alexander’s memory. Niagara College sends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, classmates and faculty. Alexander will be repatriated to his home in Marikina City, Manila, where a memorial service will be held in the coming weeks.
