For the first year, NC is putting together a team for the 11th annual Big Move Cancer Ride to take place on Sunday, September 8, 2019.

The fundraiser, hosted by the Niagara Health Foundation, draws hundreds of amateur and experienced cyclists from the Niagara region to ride in support of the Walker Family Cancer Centre. NC staff have participated in the past but thisw will be the first time coming together as a NC team. NC’s organizing team includes Joanne Maltby (team captain), Mike Pasquale, and Janet Pizzati.

Nc staff, faculty and students are encouraged to register for the NC team or donate. Riders can  opt to take part in  the 25-km, 50-km or 75-km ride, or choose the shorter family slow ride route. After the ride, all are welcome to enjoy a barbeque and join in a team photo.

The team’s goal is to build up the team to 30 riders (or more) and raise a total of $5,000 for the Walker Family Cancer Centre.

Those who are interested may order an NC cycling jersey. The price is currently $65.55 including tax, which may decrease if more than 20 jerseys are ordered. Note: the due date to order an NC team jersey is July 19, but staff, faculty and students can still register to be part of the team up until the day of the event.
