On June 10, The St. Catharines Standard reported on Wayne Gretzky’s visit to Gretzky Estates in NOTL at the launch of their new outdoor beer garden. The space opened on the heels of their first beer release, No. 99 Rye Lager, in which NC’s Teaching Brewery played a part in early trials. Master distiller and brewer for Gretzky’s, Joshua Beach, noted in the article that Gretzky’s perfected the zesty brew after multiple trials at Niagara College and with the help of students in the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.
