On May 26, Niagara Now wrote about The Art of Ageing Forum at Niagara College on June 12.
The two-day forum, is co-hosted by Niagara College and Ageworks, a company committed to reducing stigma around aging and debunking myths about older adults.
NC’s Carolyn Triemstra, dean of community and health studies at Niagara College, is quoted, explaining that the forum is a chance for those of all ages to come to the College to learn about age-friendly communities and how we can all support older adults into the future.
Niagara College is among the first community colleges in Canada to join the Age-Friendly University network. Marylou Hilliard, principal of Ageworks, explains in the piece that Niagara has a high percentage of older people, making it a great venue for the forum.
