On May 27, NC Horticultural Technician Co-op Program student, Kayla Potter, was featured in an article in Simcoe.com about a worker shortage in North Simcoe. Local businesses are struggling to find staff, and first-year student Potter filled a need at Wye Nursery in Wyevale. She is the only post-secondary student the business was able to attract this season, indicative of the employment opportunities for NC students in Simcoe.
