Muskoka Region: Muskoka climate change initiatives coordinator, NC alumnus Kevin Boyle featured

Muskoka Region featured NC alumnus Kevin Boyle in a piece on May 24. Boyle joined the District of Muskoka as climate change initiatives coordinator in 2018. He graduated with a graduate certificate from Niagara College’s Environmental Management and Assessment Program in the School of Environmental and Horticulture Studies in 2013.

The piece talks about Boyle’s passion for the environment, his perspective on climate change, and the sustainability work he’s doing, including a corporate climate change plan for the District of Muskoka inclusive of adaptation and mitigation tactics, as well as community outreach.

According to Boyle, resilience to increased precipitation and floods is one of the biggest local challenges.
