On May 17, Education News Canada re-released NC’s announcement of John Levay’s Higher Education Leadership Award from ORION, Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network. Levay accepted the award at the Advance Ontario conference in Toronto.
NC, led by Levay, was among a group of eight IT leaders from institutions across Ontario pioneering a cyber security pilot project for a shared chief information security officer (CISO). At the conference, ORION announced that the successful pilot will be expanded to 12 colleges and 12 universities beginning in June.
