Culinary Tourism featured a Q&A with NC Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management graduate, Morag Kloeze (Winter 2015) who opened Mudtown Station, a brewery and restaurant in her hometown of Owen Sound, Ontario.
Kloeze describes how she uses homegrown ingredients from Ontario to brew her beer, including juniper berries from the Bruce Peninsula and Ontario nectarines. She was inspired by the prospect of turning an old lodge in Tobermory into a brewpub, enrolling in NC’s Brewmaster program to learn the art and science of brewing. Upon graduation and before opening Mudtown Station, Kloeze was the the brewmaster at the Tobermory Brewing Company in the old lodge for two and a half years.
