Please join your colleagues and me at our upcoming Day of Reflection event on Thursday, April 25 at the Welland Campus.
Day of Reflection is a wonderful tradition that brings us together as a college community, and provides important opportunities for collaboration, and reflection on the past year and the opportunities that lie ahead.
This year, the focus of Day of Reflection will be sharing the results from our recently completed 2019 Employee Engagement Survey. We had a very high response rate to the survey and I’m excited to share the college-wide results with you. While I won’t give away too much, the results illustrate the positive effects of the unique passion we share as a college for student success, a key factor that sets us apart from other post secondary institutions.
When staff and faculty are highly engaged with their work, and their organization, we are able to leverage that energy to extend our impact outside of the college and into our surrounding community. We do this every day by providing graduates who serve the region’s current and future workforce needs, by engaging industry, and by working collaboratively with other organizations through innovative, community-minded partnerships.
Employee engagement is an ongoing exercise and at Day of Reflection time will also be set aside for each division to meet and reflect on their own divisional results. The program will culminate in a delicious lunch in the Learning Commons.
Doors to the Welland Campus gymnasium will open at 7:45 a.m. and the program begins at 8:30 a.m. To help organizers, please be sure to register online for this event. For registration information, click here.
I look forward to seeing you there.
