On Saturday, April 13, 150 staff, students and community residents participated in the fourth edition of BioBlitz, organized by NC’s Office of Sustainability. The spring event is an opportunity for participants to connect with the surrounding environment and learn about local wildlife.

From guided hikes, to visits to the Greenhouse to see reptiles from Scales Nature Park, to sampling cricket-flour cookies, the event was a success. Participants discovered two new wildlife species on campus: the Eastern Screech Owl and the Big Brown Bat.
