The campus telephone system upgrade that took place from Saturday, February 23 to Monday, February 25 was a success and we thank you for your patience. A reminder that the following changes now apply:
- To reduce the number of false 911 calls, you will dial 8 instead of 9 to obtain an outside line. Your physical fax machine will require reprogramming if it was dialing 9 for an outside line.
- Telephone queue agents (some staff in Registrar’s Office and ITS) will receive assistance for new log in process when you open
- For those faculty and staff with new Avaya phones, please find the attached quick and detailed user guides <NAMED NAMED> for reference.
- A special Direct HELP Hotline x4357 has been set up to offer assistance to anyone experiencing difficultly with the new phone system – If phoning remotely or via cellphone, please dial 905-735-2211 x4357. If you have other ITS issues please continue to call x7642.
Please be advised that due to technical difficulties during the telephone system upgrade this weekend, changes to the campus voicemail mailboxes have been postponed. Voicemail will continue to operate as before; passwords remain unchanged with all greetings and saved messages intact. No further action is required at this time.
