A message from David Jastrubecki, manager, Campus Security and Parking:

I’m pleased to share that Katie McQuestion will be joining the Campus Safety team in the new role of Campus Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator, starting Feb. 19.

Katie comes to the college from the Alberta Emergency Management Agency, where she served as manager of stakeholder relations and learning design. She has over 10 years of experience working in emergency management, and holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Criminology from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management from Sir Sanford Fleming College.

In her new role, Katie will be instrumental in the planning, development, and implementation of Niagara College’s new emergency management framework and plan. She’ll also be responsible for fire safety campus safety promotion, training and education; and the day-to-day operations of the Campus Safety Security Control Centre.

Please join me in welcoming Katie to the Niagara College community.
