Message from Lianne Gagnon, director, Student Services

I am pleased to announce that Shari Walsh will join the Student Services team as associate director of Student Engagement, Academic Advising, and Career Services at the Welland Campus, effective March 4.

Shari comes to Niagara College from Humber College, where she was manager of Transition and Leadership programming.

Shari brings a wealth of student affairs administration experience to her new role. While at Humber, she led several student engagement initiatives, including the development and implementation of an integrated advising model, a student life competency framework for student leaders, and Humber’s co-curricular record. She was also successful in increasing orientation participation, improving overall participation in student leadership programs, managing Career Ready initiatives, implementing Work Integrated Learning initiatives and instructing in both colleges and universities.

Shari possesses a master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. Originally from Chippawa, she looks forward to returning to Niagara.

Please extend Shari a very warm welcome to our Niagara College community.
