Niagara College wishes you a safe and happy holiday season.
Our campuses will be closed beginning Dec. 22 and will remain closed until Jan. 2, 2018 at which time we will resume our normal hours of operations.
Some services may be operating on modified hours leading up to the holiday closure and early in the new year. Here is a list of operating hours for our services and enterprises over the holidays.
Transit
Reduced transit schedules may be in effect for the holiday season. Visit ncsac.ca/transit-schedules for more information.
NC Libraries
NC libraries will be closed from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2. Access to library resources are available online 24/7 at nclibraries.niagaracollege.ca/library.
NC Bookstores
NC Bookstore at both campuses are closed starting Dec. 22 and will re-open with regular business hours, 8 am. – 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.
Athletics and Recreation
Dec. 15 & 16 – closed
Dec. 17-20 – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Dec. 21 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Dec. 22 – Jan. 1 – closed
Jan.2-4 – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Jan. 5 & 6 – closed
Jan. 7 – regular hours resume
The Fitness Centres at both campuses will be closed Dec. 22 to Jan. 1.
NCSAC Offices and Student Centres
NCSAC Offices will be closed on Dec. 21 at 12 p.m., reopening Jan. 3 at 8:30 a.m.
The Core (Welland) and Armoury (NOTL) and the Shack Student Café (Welland and NOTL) will be closed from Dec. 15, reopening Jan. 7.
The Shack and Undergrounds will be open Dec. 17-20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both will be closed from Dec. 21 at 12:30 p.m., reopening Jan. 7.
Cafeterias/ Food Services
Cafeterias and Food Services will close Dec. 22, reopening Jan. 2.
From Dec. 17 to 21 and Jan. 2 to 4, the following break week hours will apply:
Tim Hortons – 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Subway – 10:30 am to 3:00 pm
Pizza Pizza – 10:30 am to 3:00 pm
Nourish/On the Go – 8:00am to 3:00 pm
Chef Inspired – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Market Grill – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
AHI Tim Hortons – closed
Tech Building Café – closed
Beginning Jan. 7, regular hours will resume.

Community Employment Services at 43 Church Street is open as follows:

Thursday, Dec. 27: open 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Retail stores at the NC Teaching Brewery and Wine Visitor and Education Centre
Will be open for regular hours from Sunday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on the following dates:
- Dec. 24: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Dec. 25: closed
- Dec. 31: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Jan. 1: closed
Benchmark Restaurant
Benchmark will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 21, 2018 to Jan. 8, 2019 inclusive. Benchmark will reopen on Jan. 9, 2019.
NC Teaching Spa
The NC Teaching Spa is presently closed for exams and the holidays. Winter term hours will be available in the New Year.
Student Services
The offices of Academic Advising, Student Engagement and Leadership, and Career Services / Co-op will be closed Dec. 21 at 4:30 p.m., reopening Jan. 2 at 8:30 a.m.
NC Greenhouse
The Greenhouse will be closed Dec. 23, reopening Jan. 2.
Winter Term Orientation, Start-up, and Extended Hours
- Winter Orientation will be held Jan. 4.
- Classes begin on Jan. 7.
Enrolment Services
Enrolment Services at both the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses will be have extended office hours from Monday, Jan. 7 to Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 back to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
