Please note that Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Niagara Falls, Welland and other parts of Southern Niagara. Snow squalls are expected to begin Wednesday evening (Dec. 5) and continue Thursday morning (Dec. 6). Local snowfall amounts may be near 15 cm. As a result, travel may be hazardous Thursday due to snowfall accumulation and blowing snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate.
Niagara College reminds staff students and visitors to take extra care when travelling to and from campus and allow extra time as necessary. When arriving on campus, be aware of snow clearing equipment and use caution when walking on snow-covered surfaces, especially on slopes and stairs. The College will continue to monitor weather conditions issued by Environment Canada. While not expected, any potential college closures will be posted to www.niagaracollege.ca For general information regarding inclement weather and closures at NC, visit www.niagaracollege.ca/visit/inclement-weather-and-closures/
