Nov. 15: Inclement weather expected for Niagara

Please be advised that Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for Niagara on Thursday, November 15, with a weather travel advisory to begin during the afternoon.

Snow is expected to reach Southern Ontario late in the afternoon, and is forecast to continue through the night and into early Friday morning. A snowfall of five to 10 cm is expected across the region, with most of the snow expected to fall during the night. Poor winter driving conditions are expected and untreated roads may become snow covered or slippery. The snowfall may have impacts on the Friday morning commute.

This is expected to be the first significant snowfall of the season for Niagara.

Niagara College reminds staff students and visitors to please take extra care when travelling to and from our campuses and allow extra time as necessary. When arriving on campus, please be aware of snow clearing equipment and exercise caution when walking on snow-covered surfaces, especially on slopes and stairs.

The College will continue to monitor weather conditions issued by Environment Canada. While not expected, any potential college closures will be posted to niagaracollege.ca.
