Remembrance Day, observed across Canada on Nov. 11, honours the service and sacrifice of the men and women in our armed forces throughout history. As Nov. 11 falls on a Sunday this year, Niagara College will observe Remembrance Day on Friday, Nov. 9.

A short service will take place over the public address system at both campuses at 11 a.m., including a reading of the John McCrae poem, In Flanders Fields, followed by the playing of The Last Post and a moment of silence.

Please join your colleagues, students and visitors in participating in this important service of remembrance. The NC community is also encouraged to find and attend a Remembrance Day ceremony in their community. 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, and communities across Canada will mark the occasion through a unique Bells of Peace ceremony.
