A message from the Centre for Organizational Excellence:
Our 28th Annual Support Team Day is just around the corner, and we would like to remind members of support staff who are interested in attending to register for the event by Tuesday, June 12 at noon.
Support Team Day will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at The Americana in Niagara Falls. We invite support staff to join us for fantastic day of learning, networking and team building activities. This program is designed for all full-time, ongoing part-time, and term certain (I/O or Appendix D) support staff. Please note this event is not open for summer student employees.
In the morning, employees will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of break-out sessions highlighting topics such as increasing productivity while decreasing stress, communication styles, dealing with difficult conversations, keeping calm under pressure and navigating change. Participants will walk away with tangible ideas and actions that can be applied immediately.
Over lunch, employees will hear from keynote speaker Adam Shoalts, a professional adventurer, explorer and best-selling author originally hailing from Niagara. Adam recently completed a nearly 4,000-km solo journey across Canada’s Arctic. This funny, inspiring and thought-provoking talk will highlight the highs and lows of his journey as he shares how he’s been successful in reaching his goals and the resiliency it has taken to get there.
In the afternoon, employees will choose from a variety of activities including new options such as volunteering in our community, hiking in NOTL to learn more about our campus, teaming up to play brain games on an interactive app, getting your body moving towards overall wellness, and much more.
