A message from Dave Taylor, associate vice president, Academic and Learner Services:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Michele O’Keefe as the associate director, Athletics and Recreation.
As president and CEO of Canada Basketball, and executive director of Ontario Basketball prior to that, Michele brings a wealth of expertise in the field of sport management. Her accomplishments in leading a national sport operation has a foundation in recognizing that achieving organizational success is just as much a team effort as being on the court.
Michele’s extensive network, collaborative nature and recognition of the importance of partnerships and valued stakeholders, will be tremendous assets for Niagara College as we continue to build on the college’s growing athletic brand and our reputation of excellence both on the field of play and as a premier hosting organization.
I would like to express my appreciation to Ray Sarkis and Mike Santoro for their support and interim leadership during the recruitment process.
Please join me in welcoming Michele to the NC family as she starts with us on July 3.
