Don’t miss Rose City Fun Fest at Welland Campus April 20


NC’s Recreation and Leisure Studies students in partnership with It’s All Welland Good are hosting an event on Friday, April 20 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Welland Campus (Applied Health Institute foyer).

This event is the annual community initiative for the RLS students taking the Community Development Course CMDV1454. The purpose of the event is to build community awareness for the grassroots initiative It’s All Welland Good by promoting Welland as a great place to live and play for Niagara College students and local Welland families.

Activities (geared to children) will be available between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. including: Therapy Tails, Giant Jenga and Connect 4, Art with Recreation grad Audrey Krueger, hopscotch/chalk drawing, Skipping, bubble making, face painting and temporary tattoos, Fred the Balloon Man, a dress up photo booth, Chuck the Rubber Chicken, and parachute games.

Recreation grad and DJ Kelly Jones will provide music.Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Tim Horton’s, Booster Juice and the GoGo Food Co. Truck. The Welland Museum will be selling It’s All Welland Good t-shirts in various colours and sizes.

The movie Kung Fu Panda will run in the Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. courtesy of the International department with free popcorn provided by NCSAC.

A great opportunity to have some fun on campus before final tests begin!
