An Exchange Magazine article lists Niagara College as among the seven colleges to host day-long Qualifying Competitions on Saturday, April 7 for the 2018 Skills Ontario Competition.

Putting the future of skilled trades and technology in the spotlight, the events are expected to draw hundreds of secondary students from across Ontario as they compete to earn spots in the provincial competition. Students will compete in four of the most popular events at the secondary level, including Individual Carpentry, Culinary Arts, TV and Video Production (team of two) and Welding.

The top three school boards in each contest from each qualifying competition will be eligible to compete at the 29th Skills Ontario Competition, which takes place May 7-9 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
