Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Niagara with a significant snowfall expected on Friday, February 9.
Snow is expected to begin early Friday morning and continue throughout the day. Five to 10 cm of snow is possible by Friday evening, with higher amounts possible near Lake Ontario.
Both the Friday morning and evening commutes may be impacted. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be prepared for poor driving conditions due to quickly accumulating snow and reduced visibility.
Please take extra care when travelling to and from our campuses and allow extra time as necessary. When arriving on campus, please be aware of snow clearing equipment and exercise caution when walking on snow covered surfaces, especially on slopes and stairs.
Please continue to monitor alerts issued by Niagara College and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
While not expected, any potential closures will be posted to niagaracollege.ca
