One of the region’s coolest wine events is underway in celebration of one of the most cherished products in the country, and Niagara College is a part of the festivities.
The 23rd annual Niagara Icewine Festival kicked off January 12 and will continue until January 28.
Watch out for the Niagara College Teaching Winery on January 20-21 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Village – the annual outdoor Icewine celebration on historic Queen Street. Representatives from the Teaching Winery will be pouring 2013 Dean’s List Savant Icewine. For details about the NOTL Icewine Village visit: www.originalicewinefestival.com/
The Teaching Winery is also part of the festival’s Discovery Pass program, which offers food and wine pairing passport at participating wineries. The College was also part of the festival’s Icewine Gala which was held at the Fallsview Casino Resort on January 12. Pouring stations included the NCTW’s 2013 Dean’s List Savant Icewine, 2013 Dean’s List Prodigy Icewine, 2012 Dean’s List Meritage, and 2013 Balance Brut.
