Maclean’s 2018 Edition College and University Program guide has hit the newsstands, featuring a special segment about Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.
Full page photos from NC’s Teaching Brewery are showcased prominently on page 98 and 99 as an introduction to the magazine’s ‘Cool college’ section
Readers can flip to pages 115 to 117 to view the article about NC’s Brewmaster program. It highlights how the program was created meet the demand for skilled workers in the booming craft beer industry, noting the program’s 100 per cent placement rate. It features comments from CFWI dean Craig Youdale who discusses what students learn in the program, as well as recent graduate (2016) John Cull, who enrolled at NC after obtaining a master’s in Chemistry at the Royal Military College of Canada and now works as a brewing equipment project manager at Dynamic Process solutions in Mississauga.

In addition to the Teaching Brewery, the magazine includes a photo from Niagara College on page 12 of student entrepreneurs from ncTakeOff. This photo is part of the magazine’s ‘Choose your own adventure’ article – a step-by-step guide to help students choose whether college or university is the right choice for them.
