Foundation and Alumni Relations welcomes new development officer

Ellen Bayley takes on her role as development officer, major gifts, Foundation and Alumni Relations on November 6.

A message from Wendy Dueck, director of development, Foundation and Alumni Relations:

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Ellen Bayley as development officer – major gifts, effective November 6.

Ellen is a graduate of the University of Toronto and brings 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in the non-profit sector and a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of fundraising, with a strong focus on relationship management.

Her role on the Foundation and Alumni Relations team is to help secure philanthropic financial support for the College’s priorities, including campus facilities, instructional equipment, and scholarships and bursaries.

Ellen comes to NC from St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation in Toronto, where she was a development officer – major and leadership giving. Working in close partnership with the president of the Foundation, Ellen supported a $70-million fundraising campaign, coordinating lead donor prospects and managing her own portfolio of donors.

Ellen and her husband are relocating from Toronto to Niagara. Ellen’s last name will be officially changed to her married name, Schonewille, early next year.

We are excited to have Ellen on board. Please join me in welcoming her to Niagara College and the Niagara region!
