Niagara College will welcome an expert from the World Wildlife Fund on October 5 as part of its fall bioblitz.

Hosted by the College’s Office of Sustainability, the fall bioblitz will take place at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus on Thursday, October 5 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Similar to the College’s annual spring bioblitz, the fall event will focus on taking inventory of plant and animal species on campus. Along with the College’s sustainability experts, special guest from the World Wildlife Fund Pete Ewins, PhD, lead specialist of Species Conservation, will lead participants on hikes.

The event is taking place as part of Get Involved Week at the College. Students who participate will be recognized on their Co Curricular Record.

Participants can enter a photo contest and will have a chance to win prizes.

Home base for the event will be at the entrance to the Wetland Trail where refreshments will be available.

Information and registration is available at
