Chelsea Mizzi receives the highest honour of the evening from NC president Dan Patterson: the President’s Engagement Award. This year the award was granted to two recipients. Carolyn Day also received the honour.
The spotlight was on the College’s student leaders during the Centre for Student Leadership’s annual Niagara College Volunteer and Leadership Awards event on March 24.
Held at Riverstone Event Centre in Welland., the event included an awards ceremony which recognized the hard work and dedication of many students to campus engagement, student leadership and all areas of campus life at the College. NCVLA awards aim to reward the high level of student leadership and involvement in all areas of campus life and highlight the importance of engagement and leadership at the College by publicly acknowledging students who have dedicated their time to being involved and/or volunteering both on- and off-campus.
