This event will feature a silent auction, with art pieces including paintings, hand crafted jewellery, drawings, photographs and more. All proceeds from the auction will go towards the Niagara College Student Emergency Food Bank.

“The mandate of Hungry for Art is to showcase the art of residents of the Niagara community along with the art of Niagara College students and staff,” said NCSAC director of goodwill, Jennifer Siman. “We want to support all local artists and give them a place to share their creations, while raising funds for a vital on-campus student service. Last year approximately 500 students utilized the on campus emergency food bank.”

Admission to the event is free though guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. In addition to the money raised through the silent auction, cash donations are welcome as well.

The event will include an interactive painting station for attendees to participate in, a live painting demonstration by a Niagara College student, a wine and sandwich reception and door prizes.
