The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership is expanding its traditional Get Involved Week, held in September, to include a special all-in-one Get Involved Day.

Get Involved Day will be held at the NOTL Campus on Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Learning Commons/Outside Cafeteria); and at the Welland Campus on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Learning Commons).

Attendees will hear from on- and off-campus organizations that have different ways for students to get involved. Whether a student has just started at NC in January and would like to get involved right away, or has a semester under their belt, and wants to explore opportunities outside of the classroom, Get Involved Day has all the information students need to gain experience, add to their CCR and boost their resume!

On and Off Campus Opportunities Fair
Different organizations will have tables set up for students to explore different opportunities to get involved! Some of the groups that have already signed up are:

Be World Ready
Indigenous Education
Power Yoga Canada (Welland only)
Sustainability
Distress Centre Niagara (Welland only)
Town of Pelham – Recreation & Culture Department
Bethlehem Housing
Therapy Tails
Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre
Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Catharines-Thorold (NOTL only)

New this year
A Student Initiatives Expo has been added to showcase some of the great things NC students are taking on outside of their studies. Some students have their own businesses, some are expert handmade artisans. Students can view, support and get inspired to find their own passion.

Students interested in showcasing their initiative, are asked to please submit a Get Involved Day form:

The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership encourages everyone to come out and make some connections!
