Embrace the holiday spirit of giving and support those in need right here in our College community.
Each year, the Give Back Committee supports student families in need by accepting offerings of children’s gifts, clothing and food to ease the strain of the holiday season. Last year, 21 families (44 children) were identified and given support. There are several ways you can make a difference.
Give a gift to a child
In partnership with SAC, Christmas trees have been placed in the library at both campus locations. Each tree is filled with ornaments that represent children in need from our Niagara College student families and our local community. Each ornament features the age and gender of a child in need. Choose an ornament and purchase a gift for that child – Niagara College families are identified with an NC on the ornament. Attach the child’s ornament to your unwrapped gift and place it back under the Christmas tree. Gift donations must be made before Monday, December 12.
‘Adopt’ a family with your department
Make giving a group effort! Recruit your department to get involved and ‘adopt’ a family this Christmas. If your department is interested in getting together and supporting a NC student family, please contact Valerie Chambers at (905)735-2211, Ext. 7589 or email email@example.com
