Centre for Academic Excellence welcomes academic quality consultant

Candace Rempel has joined NC's Centre for Academic Excellence as academic quality consultant.

A message from Jeff Post, Centre for Academic Excellence:

I am pleased to announce that Candace Rempel will be joining the staff in the Academic Quality Unit of the Centre for Academic Excellence as our academic quality consultant.

Candace brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as the research and evaluation officer with the Halton Catholic District School Board for the past six years. In this role, Candace was responsible for key academic quality initiatives, having most recently designed several evaluation procedures and monitoring tools used to inform strategic decision making at the board.

Candace will help to facilitate the highly regarded program review process at Niagara, as well as lead the curriculum visualization and program modification processes. Her vast experience in analyzing and interpreting data and facilitating conversations with both faculty and administrators will serve her well in this new role. Her passion for education and friendly demeanor will be welcomed by her colleagues in the Centre for Academic Excellence.

A lifelong learner, Candace holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Political Science, both from Brock University, and is currently pursuing her doctorate at the University of Toronto, Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE).

Please join me in welcoming Candace to the NC community, and congratulating her on this new role.
