As we prepare for the 50th anniversary of Ontario’s system of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in 2017, one of the initiatives that Niagara College has pursued to commemorate this important milestone is a street name change for the Welland Campus. Following approval from the City of Welland, the current ‘Ring Road’ at the Welland Campus that intersects First Avenue has been renamed Niagara College Boulevard.
Along with the street name change, the address for the Welland Campus is changing to100 Niagara College Boulevard. Niagara College’s student residence building address will change to 110 Niagara College Boulevard. These changes are effective September 1, 2016.
Administratively, the address change has an impact on things like stationary, business cards and signature blocks. In order to assure an effective and cost-efficient administrative transition, please note that only for those whose work location is the Welland Campus:
- any existing stock of business cards, letterhead and stationary should be used up before ordering new ones with the new address;
- beginning today, Welland Campus staff are encouraged to put a notation as a P.S. into emails to the effect, “Please note that, effective September 1, 2016, the address for the Welland Campus of Niagara College will change from 300 Woodlawn Road to 100 Niagara College Boulevard; and,
- signature blocks (e.g. on emails) should be changed to reflect the new address starting September 1, 2016.
Please note that mail that is addressed to 300 Woodlawn after September 1, 2016, will still be sent to the Welland Campus through an address change protocol with Canada Post.
