Article posted by the St. Catharines Standard on June 22 features NC alum Florence Cooney, from the Class of 1969. Cooney did not attend her own convocation ceremony 47 years ago, but got the opportunity to don a gown when her daughter, Shannon Passero, was selected as a convocaiton speaker and received an Honorary Bachelor of Applied Studies on June 22.
