The Niagara College Foundation raised more than $200,000 at its 27th Annual Seafood Gala on April 9 at the Fallsview Casino Resort. The total, which is the most ever raised in the event’s 27-year history, will support instructional equipment, scholarships and bursaries.
The gala’s success is due in large part to major sponsors, including Fallsview Casino Resort, Rankin Construction Inc., and The Niagara Falls Review, The Standard and The Tribune. The sold-out event, supported by more than 100 student volunteers from a variety of program areas, illustrates our community’s dedication to supporting the work Niagara College does in educating and training the next generation of highly-skilled workers.
With 700 business, community and education leaders in attendance, the evening included a historic moment when NC president Dan Patterson announced the College had received its largest-ever donation – $2.6 million from the estate of long-time College supporter, Eva Mary Lewis.

The gala event featured a sumptuous seafood (and more) buffet prepared by the award-winning chefs of the Fallsview Casino Resort (pictured above). The event was held in the beautifully decorated Grand Hall at Fallsview (below).
