Niagara College faculty and staff are now eligible to participate in Microsoft’s Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP), which makes licenced copies of most Microsoft® Office desktop PC applications available for use on home computers.
Under the program, employees who are users of qualifying applications at work may acquire a licenced copy of the corresponding Home Use Program software to install and use on a home computer. Employees may use HUP software while employed at NC, and as long as the corresponding software used at work has active Software Assurance coverage.

To access the Microsoft Home Use Program Web site:
- Go to hup.microsoft.com
- Select the country to which you want your order to be shipped to and choose the language for viewing the order Web site;
- Enter your college e-mail address ending in @niagaracollege.ca and insert the following program code C9915D6899 Note: This program code is assigned to our organization for our sole use in accessing this site. You may not share this number with anyone outside our organization;
- Place your order online, and it will be shipped to the location you have chosen. Please note that a fulfillment fee will be charged to cover packaging, shipping, and handling costs.
Products available include Office Professional Plus 2013 for $11.00 (compatible with Windows 7 and later) or Office for Mac 2011 for $11.00 (compatible with Mac OS X version 10.05.008 and later). Office for Mac 2016 will be available soon.
Eligible customers may purchase either Office Professional Plus or Office for Mac but not both. If you have already purchased one of the currently available Office products you are not eligible to purchase Office until a newer version is available.
Also available for purchase is Microsoft Project Professional 2013 for $11.00 and Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 for $11.00.
Please note that payment for the Home Use Program is the personal responsibility of the employee and is not funded by NC. College credit card or expenses cannot be used to cover the purchase of this software.
